Creating the Future: Our Kosmic Responsibility
"I believe that if we want the world to change in a significant way, and if we're serious about creating a better future for us all, then the only way it's going to happen is the only way it's ever happened: through the evolution of consciousness and culture. For the universe to evolve at this level, those of us at the leading edge-that fortunate minority of us who have been blessed with wealth, education, and the time to consider these higher matters-have to make sure it happens. We have to be the ones to create the future."

Steve McIntosh
Beauty, Truth, and Goodness: the Eros of Evolution
According to integral philosophy, evolution progresses as the result of both “a push” and “a pull.” We can all see how cultural evolution is being pushed by the pressing need to ameliorate the problematic life conditions that we face here at the beginning of the 21st century. But it is also important to recognize how our evolution is being pulled forward by the “attractors of perfection” we experience through the values of the beautiful, the true and the good. Indeed, it is the reclamation of the central importance of these “primary values” that is at the very heart of the philosophical revival of the integral movement. This presentation will focus on the theme of the conference by exploring how the values of beauty, truth, and goodness actually serve to draw us forward into increasingly more evolved states and stages.

Diane Hamilton & Jeff Salzman will co-facilitate two distinct yet inter-related sessions:

Integral Leading Through Integral Living

Integral living is an opportunity to nudge any given moment toward goodness, truth and beauty. In this session, we’ll have a look and taste of the life we are called to usher in as we ever more stably inhabit integral consciousness.

Encountering the Good, True and Beautiful in Community
“We” space is the new frontier of emerging integral functioning. But what is integral community and how does one create it? What are its gifts and what are its shadows?

The Myth of the Feminine—An Integral and Evolutionary Approach to Gender
Current wisdom tells us that the cure for our out-of-balance hypermasculine culture is through a resurgence of the feminine. However, the whole way that we think about gender has been conditioned by modern structures in consciousness that polarize masculine and feminine. What would it mean to move beyond that duality? How can a higher integral perspective enable us to evolve our very experience of self?

Terry Patton
Integral Life Practice—A Deeper Cut
Integral Life Practice utilizes Integral cross-training, simultaneous practices in the Body, Mind, Spirit, and Shadow modules (and other important modules, as well.) As practice deepens and matures across a lifetime, two merit special attention—the Ethics and Soul modules. Both will be illuminated, in a way that reflects on the practice of Integral Politics. Experiential exercises will help bring it alive.

Michael McElhenie & Barrett Brown
Integral Leadership Olympiad
Business simulations and games are used to teach us about various aspects of leadership (and followership).  What happens, however, when you bring integral consciousness to these learning experiences?  What emerges and what carnage is unleashed?  This session will invite our integral community to tackle challenges related to decision-making, group process, emotional intelligence, hidden agendas, etc. In these mini-simulations, people will apply their integral consciousness to various leadership challenges; using planned, stop-action reflection and "map" application moments, we will help people and groups objectify their thinking, emotions, behavior and group process. Come for the learning. Go for gold!!!

Carter Phipps & Jeff Carreira
What Does It Mean to Be Integral?
In this unique exploration of integral consciousness, What Is Enlightenment? Executive Editor Carter Phipps and EnlightenNext Education Director, Jeff Carreira, will explore what it means to be integral from the inside-out. Drawing on a decade of intensive, intersubjective spiritual practice and exploration, they will share the ways in which their own experiential discoveries have led them to integral philosophy, and explain how integral philosophy has, in turn, enriched their spiritual lives. So what is the ultimate relationship between theory and practice, between embracing integral philosophy and living an integral life? This session will give participants new insight into that all-important question, shining a light on the deeper layers of the term “integral.”

Creativity and Integrating Your Shadow
One of the most challenging areas of an individual's journey is how to open too and integrate their own shadow. Not only our disowned negative side...but our disowned radiance as well. In this module we will explore how to use creative awareness and heart centered focus to explore that which the ego is afraid of. Bring your journal and a desire to become more skillful. No previous creative experience required.

Cindy Wigglesworth
Spiritual Intelligence and its relationship to higher stages of ego development: a study of possible correlations between the Spiritual Intelligence Assessment and the Maturity Assessment Profile
This segment will review the model of Spiritual Intelligence and the assessment (SQi) created by Cindy Wigglesworth, and the correlations between scores on the SQi and scores on the LDP/MAP created by Susanne Cook-Greuter.

Optional Integral Life Practice
Integral life Practice Morning Salutation - Start the day the Integral way. You are invited to participant in a morning salutation each day which will follow an Integral Life Practice Framework. The session will support you in centering your Gross, Subtle and Causal bodies allowing you to create an energized self. By engaging with the Integral Life Practice framework the Morning Salutation will invite you to create a We space that will help deepen involvement within the day’s activities. Within the Morning Salutation you will be invited to engage with centering exercises, the Integral Kata, and integrally informed meditation. Finally the session will close with an invitation to create a daily personal intention. You are welcome to attend as much or as little of the morning practice as you like. The Practice space will be free, open and safe. The practice aims to help you welcome the day through an integral lens.

Discovering the AQAL meta-principles of Integral Leadership
Rather than lecturing about the research I have recently conducted on an integral framework for leadership, I will instead direct participants in a series of facilitated group activities aimed at uncovering the guiding principles of a truly AQAL approach to leadership. The intended result: evoke an emergent understanding of the theoretical frame upon which the future of leadership will rest through a process of intentional and exciting group exploration.

Your World Changing Idea
One of the markers of Integral Consciousness is the desire to create. If you’ve signed up for this conference, chances are high that you’ve brought a world-changing project or idea along with you. This is a precious, precious gift- yet how do we liberate our path of service and take our work to the next level? A group of high-level peers who have “been there” will spend a couple of hours offering each other deep listening, intuition, analysis, and advice in a structured format. Be the instrument by which another will receive the one thing they need to hear. Requirements: A Project, a Presenting Issue, and the willingness to be open to a new way of being and acting in service of your hearts desire and the world’s deep need.

Formalizing the ILiA Collaborative: Collaborate in Manifesting Your Evolving Vision for Leadership Excellence and Support
Since the first "Integral Leadership Seminar" (sponsored by Integral Institute and lead by Fred Kofman, Ken Wilber and others, in 2004), ILiA grew out of a desire on the part of some of those participants to keep and expand on integral leadership in the lives of those of us who are practicing leaders of small to large organizations. If you are endeavoring to continue to learn and deepen our practice and experience of integral leadership, come to this collaborative workshop on defining what the ILiA can become for you and the world.

Shift Happens... in the Territory: Enhancing Integral Awareness with Gestalt Theory and Practice
As integral practitioners, we love our models and maps.  They help us to find our way, and each other, in this vast Kosmos -- and to appreciate the view from multiple perspectives.  Yet transformation happens in the territory, not on the map.  We are changed when our experience leads to contact, here and now, with self and others. In this workshop, we'll explore how a Gestalt approach can enhance our integral awareness and increase our capacity to meet others where they are, in the territory of experience.  Grounded in field-theory, phenomenology and the paradoxical theory of change, Gestalt  theory and practice offers a broadly interdisciplinary framework which can be used to heighten awareness, increase choice, and support change at every level of human system, from individual to societal.

Integral Politics Panel Discussion
"Integral politics" can be defined as the political platform or agenda of those who share the values and perspectives of the integral stage of consciousness. This integral politics panel discussion will examine how these integral values and perspectives can be applied to the political arena. The panelists will include Steve McIntosh, Terry Patten, Carter Phipps, and several other leading thinkers on the subject of integral politics. The session will also provide ample opportunity for audience participation. With the national election three weeks away, our discussion is bound to be rich and provocative.

An Advanced Experiential-learning Laboratory Adventure in Integral Intersubjective Exploration: A Realtime Concurrent Inquiry into and Enactment of "Integral Leadership In Action"
Consider that our Integral-sourced Light shining through the "prism" of our integral-sourced Love manifests as Goodness/Truth/Beauty in an infinite array of displays; including in the practicalities of Integral leadership-in-action.  As we gradually learn to lead more from 2nd tier's Integral perspectives of consciousness we are nearer to fulfilling these burgeoning higher appetites in us for manifesting Goodness/Truth/Beauty.  On the practical side, imagine getting meta to and transcending conventional 1st tier command-and-control leadership protocol and decorum for meetings, seminars, or even experiential laboratories, and opening into our group's intersubjective 2nd tier/Integral intention to co-emerge and co-enact a co-leadership dynamic in our 90 minute session.  We can be empowered for this by opening to a higher/deeper state in our Authentic self, into an ever-emerging seminal state  of nascent awareness, as a continuous "becoming-in-the-now".  For an extensive description and preparation for attending this session, see writeup at: www.evolutionalconsciousness.com at the "ILIA Conference" tab.
